etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2022 Nissan Rogue- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Etrailer trailer hitch on a 2022 Nissan Rogue. And this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and the great part is, it's a hidden cross tube, meaning the only thing that's gonna be visible is the usable part of the hitch, so you get all the function, but, you really don't detract away from the OEM look of the vehicle. And this one is a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which means you're gonna have tons of options when it comes to bike racks, ball mounts, or cargo carriers. Now all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a five eighths pin and clip, now this does not come with the hitch, a lotta times when you pick up accessories, though, they'll have a pin and clip included. If you plan on leaving your accessories on your vehicle, whether it be a bike rack or cargo carrier, I recommend picking up a locking version, which we have here available ETrailer. And that way you can leave your accessories on, locked in place, and know that no one's gonna walk away with them. more

And really the only thing that's hanging out is gonna be the business end of the hitch. So you get a great look with all the functionality of your hitch. Now this is an 1 1/4-inch receiver tube opening, so if you already have 1 1/4 accessories, this is gonna work great. This is not included with the hitch, but a lot of times your accessories will come with one. If you plan on leaving your accessories on your vehicle, you might wanna look at a locking pin and clip. That way you can leave your accessories on locked in place and know that no one's gonna walk away with them. We have a rolled style safety chain loop here, nice and open. more

Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and the great part is it's a hitting cross tube, meaning the only thing that you're gonna see is the receiver opening and the safety chain loops on your hitch. So you get a nice clean OEM look with all the functionality of having a trailer hitch. Now, this one is an 1 1/4-inch receiver tube opening, so this is a little bit smaller than the standard two inch, so you might be a little bit limited when it comes to ball mounts, cargo carriers, and bike racks. But if you already have those accessories, this is gonna be a great option. Now, CURT, as well as a few other manufacturers, offer a two-inch version of pretty much the same hitch that I would maybe prefer if this is your first hitch and you don't have any accessories. more

Now, visually you're gonna see that the etrailer does look a little bit different, that's because we have a carbide matte black powder coat finish rather than your gloss. And that's kinda personal preference, I personally like the matte black a little bit more, and also, it does help prevent a little bit from scratching and getting nicks, whereas the gloss ones, it tends to show up a little bit more, this'll hide it, so again, that's just kinda personal preference. Now, overall, they all have the same rounded safety chain loops here, they're all gonna use a 5/8 pin and clip, they're all two inch, so pretty similar out the gate. more

Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and the great part is it's gonna be a hidden cross tube, so that means this whole portion of the hitch will not be visible, the only thing that you're gonna have that you can see from the back is gonna be your two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is really nice, 'cause you get all the usability, but still a nice clean look. Now, being a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening means there's a ton of different options available as far as bike racks, cargo carriers, ball mounts, or whatever accessory you may be loading up, but all of them are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. Now, this does not come with the hitch, you can pick one of those up here at etrailer, especially a locking one, that's really nice, but a lot of times, your accessories, when you pick those up, will come with one. Now, we do have a rolled-style open safety chain loop here, nice and easy for your standard S-hooks, even a larger clevis-style hook is gonna go on here nice and easy. Hi there Rogue owners. Taking your 2011 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install etrailer.com's Class 3, 2-Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver.And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. The cross tube is mostly hidden behind our bumper here. The little bit does stick down, but for the most part, you're not going to see it. Mostly just the receiver here at the back. Today you're going to be taking a look at the Curt Custom Fit Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2019 Nissan Rogue.Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. It's going to have a really clean appearance to it. All we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out, because the cross-tube's going to be completely hidden behind the bumper, giving that really nice factory look. Our hitch is going to give us an 1-1/4" by an 1/1/4" receiver tube opening, which is going to be really nice for those bike racks, some smaller cargo carriers, or if we're going to do some really light duty towing.The way we're going to mount any of our accessories is to the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept a standard 1/2" pin and clip. more
